Soaking up the Early Morning Sun
A couple of reed buntings were caught sunning themselves in the trees on the yew walk this morning as the sun made its way over the horizon. They were part of an idyllic scene as we were treated to a beautiful sun rise and hardly a breath of wind. There is nothing more peaceful than a stroll around Red House at this time with the sounds of nature intermingled with those of the horse yards. A twitter of birds followed by a clunk of a bucket and an isolated human voice. A scrape of horse shoe on the concrete and then the whispering and honk sound of the geese gliding in from the surrounding fields towards the reservoir.
