Hedgehogs at Large
As autumn takes hold at Red House some of the more sensible creatures are thinking about hibernating. The hedgehog population here is very healthy judging by the number of spoors left by them on the lawns but, during the summer, it is difficult to spot them out and about. Now, as they are busily feeding themselves up for their winter sleep, it is not unusual to meet one like this one in the early evening hunting for worms or snails.
