A Busy Weekend on the Ouse
These two boats were spotted making their way downstream past Redhouse Landing on the River Ouse last Sunday as the traffic on the river reaches its seasonal high. The re-opening of The Alice Hawthorn pub at Nun Monkton has re-established a popular destination on this stretch of the river, particularly as there is a new pontoon provided for customers at the confluence of the Nidd and Ouse. The boats in the foreground are Willow and Elbrich which and are two of the three now moored at Red House.
