Waiting for a Mole
Max, who lives in Vavasour House on the Estate, sits patiently on the oval watching a mole hill grow in front of his nose. Spring is approaching and the mole activity is increasing around Red House. All previous attempts to rid us of these little mammals have failed so we have adopted a more symbiotic approach - we let them improve the soil under the turf and the mole hills provide us with an excellent supply of top soil for the flower beds. However, they do push their luck when burrowing near the caravan site.
