By Jupiter!
The settled weather we have been experiencing recently has provided some fantastically clear night skies with Jupiter being readily visible as one of the brightest lights in the night sky. This photograph was taken from the Old Orchard at Red House using a 300mm lens and it shows the four Galilean moons in their equatorial orbits about the planet.
From left to right: Callisto (very feint), (Jupiter), Io/Europa and Ganymede.
