A Horseless Carriage
This 1930 two litre Crossley Sports Tourer, driven and owned by Stephen Weld, is spending a week in Kramer's stable while Stephen is away. He had just driven from Kirby Malzeard near Ripon on a frosty morning and the lack of heater had made the journey quite chilly. The car was made in Manchester and is one of a production run of about 100. It is believed only 2 remain, the other being kept in New Zealand. Stephen taught at the Prep School here in the late 1990's. |
