Noyce's Cottage
Taken from the road in front of Adam, this picture shows Noyce's Cottage (beyond the gate) in the old farmyard. The Noyce family all worked at Red House and were involved with estate maintenance and looking after the small farm that was run by the school.
The barns to the left of the gate were in a state of collapse in the early 1970's. In 1972 the School Leavers were given the task of taking the roof off them. The job was meant to take them 3 weeks but they enjoyed it so much it was done in a weekend.
Those to the right which were the estate workshop and tractor shed were taken down and rebuilt as garages in 2003.
