Situated at the southern end of the "Big Barn", the lean-to section used to house the heifers of our Jersey herd. After we sold the herd it was used for storage and it started looking the worse for wear. Recently the roof parted company from the uprights during a gale so major repairs were called for. In September 2002 it underwent a complete modernisation involving new steel stanchions, Yorkshire boarding, as well as a roof. A third of it now provides a cosy loose box with space for a mare and foal.
